Kidmin Space on a Budget

We are hoping to build a low budget space in our fellowship hall.  We also share the space with the youth, so we wanted to stick with a modern/contemporary theme both ministries will be able to utilize and enjoy.

Our plan is to create a industrial type theme with faux steel scaffolding, a puppet stage built to look like a large wooden crate, and another faux crate to frame the screen.  I'll try to post photos of our progress.

We painted the peg boards a medium gray color in satin called Fired Steel from Walmart's selection.  It only took three coats to keep the paneling from showing through and looks better than I imagined.    Constructing the faux scaffolding took approximately three hours for my husband and one of the youth helpers to complete.  It also is much cooler and far more sturdy than I was expecting.
